Amongst all the carbon fiber there was showcased at interbike,
this Globe Roll utilizing Reynolds 7 series was my favorite by far.
It brings me back to when i first fell in love with the track bike
few years back. It has all the characteristics that I used to drool
over; for instance, the mix of classic styling with the quill stem
but contrasting it with a modern wheelset super deep and attention
getting. The paint job is subtle and elegant and complements all
components. But all those characteristics are not what impressed
me the most.

Garret Chow of MASHsf designed this bike as a show bike to showcase
the Globe Brand. I feel it was a good way to set it self apart from all
Tarck (FSFG) bikes being realeased in such abundance this year.

The integrated U-Lock is a great design element that coincides
with the times, especially here in Los Angeles. With the rising
popularity of cycling culture down here and every where else,
there has also been a rise in theft. With this bike, it shows
that the bike industry has the ability to listen to the market
and respond to it. And Garret did just that.
