I had the pleasure working with Woody at Orange 20 Bikes. I’ve seen his skills first hand and has a lengthy resume to back it up; the title of National Champion being one, and Mechanic for the US Olympic team, being another. Banksy is producing a show in the UK that promotes rebel behavior. Pretty funny. Thought this might put smile on people’s faces today. Rémi Gaillard’s segment is hiliarious! This guy is the a pro at pranking. My buddies and i used to do this kinda stuff when i was younger. There are a few more episodes posted on Youtube. Another one i recommend from the series is the episode with the ‘Yes Men’ segment. These guys aided in a decreasing a company’s worth in the billions.

We all have a preference when it comes to riding footwear. Whether you are the weekend warrior that rides clipless pedals & road shoes or the Beach bum surf board toting boardwalk cruiser with sandals on, we all have a set up we feel comfortable on.

This Pair of DVS shoes that i have photographed were a gift from Kyle when i first started riding Track Bikes, circa 2008. Man, if these shoes could talk. I’ve logged countless miles in these shoes as they are my primary riding shoe. This is because they will not quit. Hell, I’ve broken 2 frames and these shoes are still tickin! haha! I feel comfortable in these shoes for all day riding.

Contest Starts Now!

It was a hot and hazy Sunday when 14 teams of 4 riders each took off from Downtown Union station, racing to Muscle Beach in Venice. Nothing beats a summer alley-cat, and this shaped up to be a good one. This is what weekends are for. The winning team was not a surprise, the boys representing Wolfpack (Fabian Vasques,Hern, Shirtless Jon B, Ricardo Mejia) crossed the line 1st. See all the pics on TRAFIK’s FLICKR.

Local favorite Kustown Gorilla Squad has their plans for a podium finish derailed by LAPD. The team was pulled over right in DTLA for running a red and one of the riders was taken away in cuffs. WTF! Don’t worry homie, you’ll be out soon. The Team had a GO PRO camera running so we got all the action on tape! Stayed Tuned.

Racing with your friends on a summer weekend is what makes riding great. Every week in LA there is at least one race going on. But what about the rest of the world? Saw this over at Milano Fixed.

It’s really great to see people coming together to celebrate cycling. And it is a blessing that our movie has reached so many people and has encouraged the growth of cycling through out the globe. What better time than now? Andira sent us over these pictures from The Fixed Film Fest out in Jakarta Indonesia where they showcased videos that followed some simple guidelines; Friends, Fixed, and Indonesia. They were kind enough to host The Jakarta Premiere of TL & R and included us in the Film Fesitval along with the Premiere of ‘JAKARTARCK,’ The first film about Indonesia’s Fixed Gear scene.

Judging by these pictures, Jakarta really knows how to party. Check out the crowd! Hern is that you in the middle?
