We visited Mexico to race and chill in the Tecate Madness event that was being held by our friends from Tecate Fixed!

After a very long trip through the desert, passing San Diego and the U.S. Border… we landed in Tijuana where we visited the very popular and local shop, BICA. These guys were instantly cool and were as excited as we were to visit the country.

 

Goodluck was on our side and on our 2nd day in Mexico, we were also able to take part in the bi-yearly event, Rosarito to Ensenada – which is a 50 mile ride through Mexico that’s very popular with locals and people from all over the world.

But the main reason we were there was for Tecate Madness. We were not only taking part in it, we also helped sponsor the event. It has hella fun and we met some of the coolest people ever. Tecate knows what’s good!

All in all, Tecate is a beautiful city with rough terrain that has it’s tough parts for any rider of any level. We want to give a huge thanks to Tecate Fixed, BICA, The Helper, and KiloLibra.

And a special thanks to Wichi and Bolas for taking care of us while we were down there! We will definitely visit again soon! And BTW, BICA will be hosting a premier of To Live & Ride in L.A tonight! If you’re in town, visit them!

The Hunt – Fixed Gear Criterium – is tomorrow in London! Our friends over at The 5th Floor are co-sponsoring this event and it looks like it’s going to be HUGE. We’ve been listening to the mix in the email blasts given to invited racers, and it looks like it will be a heated race. All fun and games though! Wish we could make it out to this one, but our team is in Mexico this weekend. Womp womp.
