TRAFIK presents To Live & Ride in L.A. – PREMIERE EVENT

Close out the summer with a bang as all sides of L.A. come together for an EPIC PARTY and MOVIE PREMIERE. A night full of riding, racing, partying, and REPRESENTING L.A.!!!

Westside – Meet up at LA Brakeless @ 5pm for a massive GROUP RIDE to the Premiere. Hosted by BEAVERBEAVS and KEO.

The first riders to show up at either spot with a “To Live & Ride L.A.” or TRAFIK sticker on their bike will win a pair of shoes from DVS – Your Choice! You can also win custom “To Live & Ride in L.A.” logo T’s designed by SWANK ONE. Each meetup will have its own shit planned so check out the individual Facebook events and show up early to get your pre-game on.

Once everyone arrives in Downtown, shit gets real with the 3rd Annual DTLA BFF ALLEY-CAT. If you haven’t raced yet this summer, this is the one to enter. Presented by DTLA’s Finest, this alley-cat is shaping up to be one of the biggest this year. Prizes by Velocity, Thomson, Rapha, DVS, and TRAFIK. Check the event page for more info.

DTLA Race will start and finish in front of the Downtown Independent Theater. 7:30pm Race start! Finish around 9, depending on how fast ya’ll are.

If you aren’t racing, there will be plenty of stuff to do for the tricksters on fat tires. TOLA will be running some contests in front of the theater, win yourself some shoes from DVS! Get your drink on, smoke if you got your card, and get ready for the premiere event of the summer!

Encore presentation at 11pm.

Afterparty will be held at the 6th St. Warehouse (with an indoor BMX ramp) w/ special guest Mat Hoffman.

There will be a bike valet, so your shit is safe, but make sure to buy your tickets online early. They are only holding 40 at the door on the night of.

What a beautiful way to wind down the weekend, than to race amongst your close friends in Southern California’s beautiful weather. The race was one for the books. Sean Martin (TOLA) did an amazing job of organizing the event and compiling a prize pot worth racing for. There was an Aluminum Pake track frame up for grabs to go to the Lord of Griffith. Wolf Pack set the tone for hard races and seeing more difficult ones like this in Los Angeles is exactly what the bicycle community needs.

Sean Martin was the Master Mind behind this intense race. I felt obligated to race this since he participated in my Summer Games race a month back.
Thanks to this guy, the race went off with out a hitch. Amazing! 54 racers were rumored participating.

Juice kits made a debut at this race. An overwhelming feeling of pride came over me when i suited up in this kit.

Orange 20 shop rats can beat any of your shop rats. i’ll put money on that.

Hern has the most victories in Los Angeles Street racing, hands down. There is a reason he wears a Mash kit to the track. He’s earned it.

Sammy is a fucking beast. Class of 69′ Alumni. It’s always a pleasure loosing to you in the velodrome.

Last Saturday, Hern and a few friends went down to the LA velodrome for the LAVRA Cup Omnium. Hern entered the CAT5 Omnium and he KILLED it. It was his first CAT5 race. After a long day, Hern took 2nd. Keep up the good work. I was the cheerleader and photographer of the day! Here’s a few photos….

One featured musical artist on To Live & Ride in L.A.’s soundtrack is DAVINCI. We were privileged to be exposed to this westcoast mc who’s bringing back the raw lyrical styles and story telling of hip hop’s golden years. TL&R cinematographer and TRAFIK collaborator Marcus Ubungen has been working with DAVINCI and SWEETBREADS for years now and they just released a new music video for a hot new track Concrete Jungle Juice off the new album (download it, its free!). And the video editor for this cut also cut the new TL&R trailer that’s soon to be releasing too! Shout out to Marcus, Ralph, Al Jieh, DaVinci, Ammbush! Great work!
