We hope you guys have been getting ready for this. The most epic Track bike race in LA if not the country. If you ride track bikes in Los Angeles, you have to at least attempt this once. The brain child of Sean from TOLA!, (sadistic fucker) The Lord of Griffith series has been testing peoples legs for the last two years. We are proud sponsors once again this year. We actually filmed the very first LOG, made into a short feature, which you will be able to see at the afterparty for this years race! Plus it will also be on the DVD extra features when TL&R drops on 6/21/11!!! So get out there and get climbing! Stay tuned here for some sneak peeks next week of what the LOG entails…

Dangerbird Records keeps bringing the heat to keep your legs spinning. Pretty stoked I get to write about Minus the Bear. I remember seeing these guys years ago when I was living in Seattle. I would feel so bad for the guy who would wear the bear costume at these small sweaty hot shows. That’s what friends are for… I just like how life has come full circle and now they are a proud part of TL&R and are keeping us moving down the road! Just wait until 6/21/11 for the DVD release, and you will see how their music helped to fill the need to Ride in LA!

You know you have finally entered the world of real riding when you get the matching combo of a Thomson stem and seatpost. It took me a minute to achieve this but now every bike I own has this setup and they will always have this setup. You ride with the best. They look amazing, are very well made components right here in the USA, and function exactly has you need them too. We are very proud to have Thomson as a sponsor of TL&R. We wouldn’t our riders riding on anything less then the best. Thank you Thomson for your continued support.

MTV has a new film site “Next movie“, and they are showing TL&R some love. As part of Bike to Work Week, they are showing Mr. Quick’s clip from TL&R.
If you haven’t seen it yet, its pretty wild. Rush hour on the 101 ain’t no joke, and he is slaying it on his fixed gear bike. … Keep your eyes peeled for other big releases that we can’t talk about just yet. Big things for our fair film. 6/21/11!!!

Check out the clip here at Next Movie.

We are still getting a lot of questions as to when TL&R comes out on iTunes and DVD (the only place for 40 mins o Bonus extra features). There are some things coming up that will get your mouth watering for the release. More contests, more teasers, if you live in LA there will be some secret screenings and certain race after parties (Lord of Griffith III is June 5th). Just keep your eyes peeled here and remember….

It drops 6/21/11!!!

Our Friends and Supporters at Orange20 Bicycles are hosting an ALC Fundraiser party this weekend. Some of the members of “The Juice” Cycling Club will be riding the ALC this year. There will be BBQ, Raffles, TL&R’s Hern is throwing an Alley Cat Race, Beer and sexy people everywhere! Come one, come all. Plus we’ll be there and we’ll tell you about another amazing event you should go too later that day. You gotta come though. This is one of those “Think Global, Ride Local” moments. Help a good cause locally, but has a huge impact globally.

From the Westside of LA, riding out of LAB, these OG heads were a handful during filming, especially Charlie..who can forget this classic move? CRASH!
Never a dull moment, these guys were super fun to work with and always surprised us with what they can throw down on a bike.

George, Efrem and Charlie were friends before we started the movie, then with Keo in the mix, shit was Craze. These guys showed us what the Venice life is like; riding all day in the sun, locals only spots, smoking hella weed. It’s cool that Venice was the birthplace of skateboarding, and now is really a center point of Fix Gear FreeStyle. On any given day you can find FGFS riders practicing next to the skaters down at Venice Beach. This really is the place to “Think Global, and Ride Local.”

The LAB boys represented the West side in “To Live & Ride in L.A.” and were the best tour guides for Keo during his trip to LA. It was a summer none of us will forget. See it on 6/21/20!!!

Small Black. Music to ride by. Small Black is for those moments when you’re all alone of road, and don’t have to worry in your head. All you have to do is pedal, and Listen. Let the bike and the music you take away. We are very proud to have Small Black on the Soundtrack to TL&R. Take a listen after the jump, and don’t forget 6/21/11!!!
