Everybody who rides a fixed gear at one point, either had, wanted or still has an Aerospoke. One of the most sought after wheels in our world, and we have them has our proud sponsors of TL&R. Just about every fixed rider in LA that we know as rocked one in their riding career.
That iconic image of a track bike doing a wheelie with an Aerospoke spinning in the front or holding down the rear, is one of my favorite images ever. We feel really blessed to have such an legendary wheel, rolling our riders around town. You’ll be able to them in action on 6/21/11, when the TL&R drops on itunes, netfilx and DVD (the only place to see the 40 mins of extra features)!

LA Brakeless. A shop on the fore front of LA’s “Fixed Gear Scene”. A proud Sponsor of TL&R, one of the driving forces behind last summers epic three day event “Summer fix”, and they sponsor almost every street in LA. Half of the riders in TL&R ride or rode for LAB. We really wanna say thanks to LAB and please don’t forget to support your LOCAL BIKE SHOPS! They do a lot more then just sell bikes, they really support everything you do, and help foster a community in your town. Support your supporters! Check out some of Dave’s sick bikes after the jump.

One of the new posts you will be seeing every Wednesday, will be Rider updates. What have they been up too? What are they doing since filming “To Live & Ride in LA“? Since this is the first week and it coincides with a Bi-weekly night this Saturday, that some of the riders put on, we thought we would do a little promoting for them. Sound.Wavs is the brain child of Anthony and Sean. A collective of DJ’s, beat makers, Emcees, and friends. They started last year as a weekly night at the Hyperion Tavern, every Thursday. Due to some disputes and the bar losing it’s live performance license, the night went on hiatus. It came with back with a vengeance. Sound.Wavs at The Ronin Gallery has become the one of the fastest growing underground nights in Los Angeles. It’s an amazing party with amazing performances from some of the best artists LA has to offer. With a rotating line up every two weeks, the guys are bringing you the best they can book. This Saturday is the fourth installment, and the Crew bought a new sound system and have some insane talent coming through this week. Swag. Look for more detailed interviews with both Sean and Anthony in the weeks ahead.

What a beautiful way to wind down the weekend, than to race amongst your close friends in Southern California’s beautiful weather. The race was one for the books. Sean Martin (TOLA) did an amazing job of organizing the event and compiling a prize pot worth racing for. There was an Aluminum Pake track frame up for grabs to go to the Lord of Griffith. Wolf Pack set the tone for hard races and seeing more difficult ones like this in Los Angeles is exactly what the bicycle community needs.

Sean Martin was the Master Mind behind this intense race. I felt obligated to race this since he participated in my Summer Games race a month back.
Thanks to this guy, the race went off with out a hitch. Amazing! 54 racers were rumored participating.

Juice kits made a debut at this race. An overwhelming feeling of pride came over me when i suited up in this kit.

The leading peloton.

Orange 20 shop rats can beat any of your shop rats. i’ll put money on that.

The real Griffith Park guru!

Hern has the most victories in Los Angeles Street racing, hands down. There is a reason he wears a Mash kit to the track. He’s earned it.

Sammy is a fucking beast. Class of 69′ Alumni. It’s always a pleasure loosing to you in the velodrome.

New Orange 20 bike club kit. The Juice in full effect. This is what lap 3 looks like.

Tracko wheeling across the finish line.

Congratulations to Bud! He is the Lord Of Griffith.
Thanks to Devon Tsuno for the pictures!
