West Covina is a long way to drive in L.A. traffic, but worth it to attend another ill event from Store 13 and Leader Bike that brought out all the homies from the IE. Bikes, cars, food trucks, girls, it was all there jammed in Store 13′s parking lot for TAB Tuesday.

Team Leader riders Michael Chacon and Jesus Lizama came thru to show off some of the new frames, Mike with his 2012 Hurricane and Jesus with his newly minted Kagero that had some heads turning. Mike is really getting out there, check out that swarm of riders getting autographs on their wheels, bikes, babies. Good looks Michael!

TRAFIK was stoked to see many of the riders rocking our decals, looks extremely clean on Leader’s 735 frame. Head over to TRAFIK’s Flickr (TRAFIKPIX), to see all the pics from the night. Also, if you get a chance to stop into Store 13 in West Covina OR Pasadena pick up a copy of To Live & Ride in L.A. or other TRAFIK gear. Thanks!

It went down last week all the way on the other side of the planet, down undah – again. With the screening last November in Melbourne and the beginning of this year in Perth, Australia has been showing L.A. mad love! Our gracious hosts, Bike Jam & Artrage are proof of the strong tie between the bike community and the arts. Home to innovative shops like The Little Mule, Deus, venues like The Bakery its obvious the Aussies are into good shit (…and BMX BanditsCut Copy haha jk). Here are some pics and links to the event that include a group ride, jam session, and screening of To Live & Ride in L.A. in HD! Thanks to the riders of Perth and shout out to Herman and company for organizing and promoting such an awesome event!

also, the audio stream of director David Rowe’s interview on australian radio RTR FM 92.1… its starts just about halfway through. http://www.rtrfm.com.au/restream/13277 hear what he has to say about riding in L.A.!

btw, here’s a link to a video of the ride. And 2 flickr sets here and here.

Lord of Griffith II

What a beautiful way to wind down the weekend, than to race amongst your close friends in Southern California’s beautiful weather. The race was one for the books. Sean Martin (TOLA) did an amazing job of organizing the event and compiling a prize pot worth racing for. There was an Aluminum Pake track frame up for grabs to go to the Lord of Griffith. Wolf Pack set the tone for hard races and seeing more difficult ones like this in Los Angeles is exactly what the bicycle community needs.

Sean Martin was the Master Mind behind this intense race. I felt obligated to race this since he participated in my Summer Games race a month back.
Thanks to this guy, the race went off with out a hitch. Amazing! 54 racers were rumored participating.

Juice kits made a debut at this race. An overwhelming feeling of pride came over me when i suited up in this kit.

The leading peloton.

Orange 20 shop rats can beat any of your shop rats. i’ll put money on that.

The real Griffith Park guru!

Hern has the most victories in Los Angeles Street racing, hands down. There is a reason he wears a Mash kit to the track. He’s earned it.

Sammy is a fucking beast. Class of 69′ Alumni. It’s always a pleasure loosing to you in the velodrome.

New Orange 20 bike club kit. The Juice in full effect. This is what lap 3 looks like.

Tracko wheeling across the finish line.

Congratulations to Bud! He is the Lord Of Griffith.

Thanks to Devon Tsuno for the pictures!
