George Gregor is a featured TRAFIK rider. Here’s a couple photos of him jammin’ on a bench around the corner from his apartment in Venice. Bench porn?

Despite the rain, the turn out to the Recession Renegades Block Party was a great preview of what’s to come from RR/TOLA. When i see cycling mixing with art and vise versa, it really shows the possibility of what can be done, weather it be bicycle advocacy or expression. This event shows how powerful those two voices (cycling/art) are combined. Los Angeles needs a lot more events like this to bring the community together and show the city that it is possible rely on your bike as a means of trasportation. I’m crossing my fingers that there are more like this. I heard rumors that this is going to be a seasonal thing, and if that’s the case, i can’t wait till spring. Great job, guys!

Take Over LA along with Recession Renegades are throwing a block party today. I had the chance to snap a few photos of them setting up and getting grimey. Let me tell you, joe and sean are force to be reckoned with and you will definitely be seeing more of these dudes. Make sure you are there today! Glendale and Effie in Echo Park. 1-7pm. There will be trick comps, give aways, and a hand full of good times. Be there!

Hey everyone,
I’m in the editing stages of my new movie about L.A.’s fixed gear bike community called To Live and Ride in L.A. And right now I’m looking for local music to include in the film. This is an opportunity for local L.A. musicians to have a track featured in a movie that will be seen by cycling enthusiasts around the world.
If you have some music for me to hear, comment to this blog post with links to your url where we can stream your music. I will personally be going through and listening to each posting and I will contact you if I find something that fits in my film. Thanks for all the support L.A.!

Here is what you can do now!
Report all assaults, thefts or acts of harassment, regardless of how minor they are. It is an initial step that we can do now, to help them track and identify where these problems are happening and to help them identify suspects.
-Call in and report incident to LAPD precinct in area of occurrence*
-If you are assaulted: give as much info as possible regarding suspect, license plate, color of car, clothing they were wearing, etc
-If your bike was stolen: give then as much info about the bike, serial #, color of bike, make/model, suspect info, etc
*If the officer refuses to take the report or says that they do not have time, that it is not a crime or any other excuse, call Lieutenant Andre Dawson at 213-792-3551 and explain the situation to him.
He has assured us that he will make sure to take care of it and hold the officers accountable for what is happening in the area.
